Alexander’s wife Roxein (real name Ruksana) when reached Bharatbhumi (Indian land) after Alexander invaded India, sent a rakhi to the Katoch King Porus. In return, Porus (Puru) pledged to protect her and her man. So, during the war between two kings, when Puru was about to kill Alexander, that rakhi refrained him to kill Alexander.
